Program (KidCare), this program is designed to provide services
which are accessible, family-centered, strength and community-based,
and are available on an individual basis. It serves as a mechanism
to enhance the quality of the children’s lives who receive
medical services through the Children’s Medical Services
(CMS) and those of their caretakers, families and communities.
Behavioral health services are for the prevention, diagnosis,
and treatment of mental health and substance abuse conditions.
Eligibility to the BNET Program is based on family income and the
seriousness of the child’s mental health or substance abuse
needs. Application to Florida Kidcare is available by calling 1-888-540-KIDS.
The Title XXI / BNET Program coordinates intervention and other
needed services through a comprehensive case management system.
The program seeks to provide clients with community-based services
to include individual and family therapy, group therapy, behavioral
services, medication, and psychiatric services. In order to provide
effective case management services, Intervention Specialists do
not carry a caseload higher than 25. Intervention Specialists make
referrals, recommendations, monitor client progress in treatment,
and advocate for their clients and families.
