The Polk Regional Juvenile Assessment Center
(JAC) is operated by HSA under contract to the State of Florida,
Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Located in Bartow, the
JAC serves as a one-stop, centralized receiving and processing
center for youth from Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties who
are charged with a criminal offense. Other services include domestic
violence intervention for youth charged with a domestic violence
offense and Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC)
substance abuse and mental health assessments. The JAC provides
receiving services 24/7, 365 days per year. TASC assessments
are M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM, and by appointment. For more information,
