The
Central Receiving Center (CRC) is a single point of entry into
the mental health and substance abuse system for assessment and
appropriate
placement of adult individuals in crisis. The CRC was designed
to be used by Law Enforcement as the primary receiving facility
for
Baker Acts, Marchman Acts, and Expartes (Court Orders). Law Enforcement
may bring consumers voluntarily (if applicable) as well. The CRC
allows LEO to divert individuals who have been identified with
mental health and/or substance abuse disorders from the criminal
justice
system. The CRC also reduces inappropriate use of local hospital
emergency departments.
The CRC is funded by Orange County Government and Department of
Children and Families. It is operated by Lakeside Behavioral Healthcare
and
the Center For Drug Free Living. The CRC is managed by the Administrative
Services Organization (ASO), Human Services Associates.
The CRC is fully operative 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day.
